Good compilation, this, but misleadingly titled--there's not much that's electronische here, or even that's motorik really. In fact the selection could almost have been made as a counter-argument to the line pushed by Julian Cope in his book of Krautrock-as-protopunk. Because rather a lot of the groups here sound like they really wanted to be Quintessence, not Velvet Underground. It's not for
